3 hours; 3 credits; This course prepares students to develop competencies of advanced practice nursing in the clinical application of research. The role of advanced practice nurses in collaborative research, outcomes research, and evidence-based practice are explored. The research process, statistical methods, skills of critique, and ethical-legal issues are applied to clinical problems. Students will conduct an in-depth analysis of a clinical problem that substantiates recommendations for practice. Prerequisite: NRS 700, NRS 706 Pre or Corequisite: NRS 701
